CSC supported McCain Foods at its Harbin campus with rolling upgrades and expansions. The program delivered FM (Factory Mutual), UL (Underwriters Laboratories), and FDA (Food and Drug Administration) qualified systems across process production, temperature control, and site infrastructure.

Project Overview

CSC served as Owner’s Representative and program partner through multiple phases, coordinating contractors and certifying authorities, aligning design and construction with food safety and FM insurance requirements, and keeping delivery on track through challenging weather and site conditions.

Program Value and Scale

  • $7,600,000 Food Processing Plant upgrade.
  • $8,100,000 Wastewater lagoon for the food processing plant.
  • $4,000,000 FM, UL, and FDA qualified process production line.
  • $6,700,000 FM, UL, and FDA qualified temperature-controlled facility.

Key Deliverables

  • Process line expansions and upgrades with sanitary detailing and Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) oversight.
  • Temperature-controlled rooms and refrigeration systems, cooling tower work, and electrical room tie-ins.
  • Wastewater lagoon construction and associated site civil improvements.
  • Potato storage complexes (Bins 9 through 12) with structure, foundations, and envelopes.

Execution

  • Owner’s Representative services, schedule and cost control, field decision support.
